Join us at 7:30 pm at Rangeworthy Village Hall. We cannot let this go without a fight
It applies to ‘Homefield’ Hall End Lane Wickwar (approx 250 yards from junction of New Road and Limkiln Road ) and requests ‘Change of use of agricultural land to the use of land for the siting of 5no. gypsy caravan pitches, with construction of 5no. hardstandings, driveways, access and works. Erection of 5no. associated day rooms.’
| Each ‘pitch’ has been drawn with a residential caravan, touring caravan and a ‘day room’ - each pitch could accommodate 3 generations of extended families.- that’s a lot of people and vehicles (some commercial) Walking and Driving up and down New Road!!! Have a look at the picture on the right showing a single family site in Hampshire. Click on it to have a closer look. Then multiply that by 5 to give the 5 units this application wants. |

Only objection that were made on "site specific problems", such as those below will be taken into account.
There were over 140 separate objections lodged with the council when the consultation period ended. Very commendable, considering the remoteness of this location, we think you've all done very well.
...but, we can't stop there
The planning application has been "called in" to The Development Control (East) committee (DC). We should expect the Sites Inspection Sub Committee, a representative group from the DC (East) committee to attend a site visit at Homefield.
The site visit at Homefield has been moved again is scheduled for about 10:25 on the morning of Friday 12th June - we suggest you arive at 10:15. The committee meeting will be held on Thursday 25th June at 3pm in Kingswood, Bristol.
We think these dates are now confirmed, but please keep checking the agendas for the SISC and DC(E)C to confirm these dates and times don't change again.
Please try to keep both dates free. We realise this is all messy with the dates constantly changing, but this is out of our hands. We want as many as possible to turn up each day to emphasise the strength of feeling. To make sure a clear message is received by the committee members, we will write to them on your behalf.
To emphasise the number of objectors, we intend to present a petition at the site visit. We aim to have material prepared to be handed out to the DC committe at the site visit and the committee meeting. We will also be sending copies directly to the DC members so that we can get our message heard before the events. We also propose to get the planning consultant to represent our views as all objectors have 3 minutes (total) at the site visit and 5 minutes (total) at the meeting. Make sure you have signed your contribution to the petition and sent us this. (If you missed this, please ask for a copy at the e-mail address at the foot of the page).
We should also aim keep Steve Webb MP informed of what is going on and seek his backing where appropriate
The local press and tv could also be very helpful in publisizing concerns for our campaign. Any mention in the press/tv is very likely to be noticed by the DC committee.

When I last looked on 16 Nov, the membership was as follows (please advise if this changes so I can keep this up to date)
